
Salma Hayek Pinault (born Salma Valgarma Hayek , born September 2, 1966)[3][4][5]), is an American and Mexican actress. In Mexico, she began her career by playing the character as Teresa in the television series (1989-1991) and El Callejon de los Milagros (1995), where she was nominated for an Ariel Award. In films such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) and Dogma (1999), she quickly established herself in Hollywood. Hayek's character as Frida Kahlo as a painter in Frida (2002), a biographical film she wrote and produced that earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress nomination[6]. Also, she was awarded her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, and British Academy Film Award nominations. In the following years, Hayek focused more on producing , and was also in the action-centered pictures Once Upon a Time in Mexico
